SALE OF PUBLICATIONS

The Commission has a regular sale counter for selling its printed publications in the office and in the Department of Publication, Civil Lines, Delhi. Besides, sale counters are also arranged during exhibitions/meetings/workshops. Sale provisions are also available other places as listed by Government of India, Publication Division, Government of India.

Rules and regulations for the sales of Commission's publications:

 

(i) 

Publications of the Commission are available for sale in the Commission and the six sale counters listed above.

 

(ii)

Besides, the publications are also available in exhibitions organised by the Commission in various book fairs and programmes organised by the Commission

 

(iii)

The discount available to on Commission's publications at sale counter of the Commission and other sale counters listed above is 15%.

 

(iv)

The discount on Commission's publications in exhibitions is 25%.

 

(v)

Books published by the Commission can also be obtained by post or transport.

 

(vi)

To get the books by post or transport, the user has to send a formal letter to the Commission indicating the name(s) of book(s) required alongwith a bank draft amounting to the cost of the book(s) after deducting the 15% discount payable to the Chairman, Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, New Delhi. If the weight of the books sought for is less than 4 kg, it will send free of cost by unregistered post. In case the user wants to get the books by registered post, relevant postage may be included in the draft. Books weighing more than 4 kg will be sent by road transport (TCI) to the nearest TCI office. and the Bill T will be sent to the user. The cost of transport has to be borne by the user and it will be the responsibility of the user to release the parcel from the TCI transport office.

 

(vii)

Normally publications will not be given on credit. Institutions which are in need of the books will be given a proforma invoice against which they may send a draft for the required books.
